Nature and Artifice
November 2008, WITS Gate House, University of the Witwatersrand

This exhibition was a shape-shifting movement through an environments. The viewer gained access to a world made of fragmented interactions, and shifting perceptions, symbols and visions. Animals, humans, indstrial processes, those were the themes in the paintings. There is limited surviving documentation of this project. There were many more paintings and assembly sculptures, enough to create an installation with paintings functioning as bodies. The exhibition took place in a modernist indistrial building, in the basement, next to a laboratory of the biology department at the University of the Witwatersrand.
