Chaos describes the sensitivity of a system to the effect of permutations to the initial conditions of that system. It is in chaos that the heterogeneities of the world arises. Turbulence, however, is a state of disorder. It is a chaotic moment: a fluid motion that that emerges because of changes in pressure and flow velocity. It is a moment of change that is volatile. The movement of turbulence is impossible to predict. However, even through it cannot be predicted just yet, scientists believe there might be order underlying the disorder. These paintings are expressions of forces that move through the world: disrupting, assimilating, and sometimes being overpowered.
